The Genealogy Area in the Greene County Library is approximately 2,530 sq. ft. and contains local collections as well as surrounding state. There are 15 volunteers from the Greene County Historical Society in the S.S. Lipscomb genealogy room every afternoon, Monday - Fridays to assist researchers.

The present Greene County Historical & Genealogical Society was reorganized in 1987. The address of the society is 120 North 12th Street, Paragould, Arkansas. The e-mail address is Lipscomb19322002@yahoo.com.
